As part of the NIHR’s information architecture initiative, we ran a workshop focusing on taxonomy sources and structure.
Participants included NHS information specialists and technical support staff.
We produced a report summarizing the recommendations for implementing a multi-faceted, expandable hierarchy in the NIHR SharePoint portal, to support navigation, search and information delivery for the UK health research community.
Government projects
InfoArk works regularly for central government agencies as well as for local government bodies.
Our work for the UK national association of local authorities was incorporated into a new UK metadata standard, the Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary.
We support this standard in our projects, while also customizing a list of preferred terms that reflects the needs of each client.
