InfoArk organized a classification review to build a high-level taxonomy. The immediate need for the hierarchical headings was a SharePoint portal project to unify information held in separate shared drives and file folders. InfoArk also drafted relevant content management requirements for this intranet portal project.
InfoArk then devised a content classification solution focusing on relevant business sectors and facilities within the port, rather than on the traditional departmental structure.
Government projects
InfoArk works regularly for central government agencies as well as for local government bodies.
Our work for the UK national association of local authorities was incorporated into a new UK metadata standard, the Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary.
We support this standard in our projects, while also customizing a list of preferred terms that reflects the needs of each client.
